Our Business Areas, Broadband Cable Networks
The Teleste Broadband Cable Networks business units aim to promote the
business of cable operators primarily, but also of other operators by
utilizing our technology competence. We pave the way towards a new, more
interactive world of media by making future video quality and data
transfer rates available today. By helping prepare operators meet the
growing expectations of their customers, our advanced network solutions
equip operators to face the increasing market competition.
Our
business units provide operators with products and solutions to build
Hybrid Fibre-Coaxial (HFC) Networks and Digital Video and Broadband
Solutions, as well as services relating to their construction and
maintenance. The Hybrid Fibre-Coaxial (HFC) Network solutions, including
Deep Fibre applications, contain both individual appliances and integrated
network deliveries. In addition to cable operators, the business area
delivers solutions to next generation networks in the field of video
signal processing and broadband access. Typical customers include cable
operators, Multi Service Operators (MSO), city carriers, utilities,
hospitality integrators and smaller telcos. The business delivers advanced
network solutions for high-speed broadband for cable operators and next
generation network operators, allowing these operators to deliver high
speeds to their customers over existing coax infrastructures or new
fibre-rich networks. The relevant architectures include EttH (Ethernet to
the Home) and FttH (Fiber to the Home). From the end-user’s perspective,
the most critical requirement for the majority of applications involves
real-time transfer of video signal, which is highly sensitive to
interference and capacity restraints. At the same time, the business area
uses its expertise in IP and video technologies to provide end-to-end
Hybrid TV Solutions in video-processing to support these same customers in
the roll-out of digital and interactive video services over these networks.
The
main market area of Teleste Broadband Cable Networks is Europe, where our
business units are present with their 17 dedicated offices as well as
retail sales partners. Apart from Europe, offices have been established in
China and India. It is at the business unit level that Teleste leverages
its genuine knowledge of customer needs and its comprehensive
technological expertise. As a result, our business units are among the
leading providers in their market areas and are globally recognized for
their know-how and ability to produce technically cutting edge solutions
year after year. In providing enduring network solutions, Teleste will
always go several steps further than competitors who offer standard
solutions.
